About the Director



Mr. Sergio A Dominguez
Mr. Sergio Dominguez has an Associate's and Bachelor's college degree in Criminal Justice. He is a seasoned private investigator and security professional with more than 25 years of experience. Since launching his career in 1999, at the age of 19 when he was initailly commissioned by the state of Texas, he has been part of many elite protective groups not only in Texas but also in the state of California. From being an auxilary officer with the Carlsbad Police Department and a civilian force protection officer at the US Naval Base San Diego, he earned a reputation for integrity, discretion, and results-driven in the security and investigations industry. He first began his investigations career in 2009 when he worked for the San Diego County Public Defender's office investigating high profile cases

Soon after Mr. Dominguez returning to his hometown of El Paso he became a criminal warrants investigator with a local Fugitive Recovery Task Force contracted by local bail bond agencies. He apprehended many fugitives from law and returned them to justice.
Recognizing a growing need for professional investigative services in Texas, he established Metropolitan Private Investigations in 2015. Under his leadership, the firm developed a strong track record for comprehensive case management, from surveillance, background checks, asset searches, due-diligence, criminal, civil, and domestic investigations.
Mr. Dominguez’s commitment to ethical practice and professional development was acknowledged when he joined the Texas Association of Licensed Investigators (TALI) in 2017. TALI is the premier organization representing licensed investigators across the state of Texas. In 2018, his peers elected him to the Board of Directors in recognition of his leadership, industry insight, and dedication to advancing the profession. In this role, he has helped shape statewide standards, organize educational events, and mentor emerging investigators.
In the aftermath of the coronavirus pandemic, Mr. Dominguez relocated to San Antonio to enhance service delivery throughout Central Texas. This strategic move enables more timely investigations and on-site security assessments for both public and private sector clients. Alongside investigative work, Mr. Dominguez currently provides governmental security support to the city of San Antonio and serves on a critical infrastructure force protection team. His dual expertise in investigative tradecraft and tactical security ensures holistic risk management solutions.
Committed to the next generation of professionals, Mr. Dominguez has now established a continuing education school for students in south cetranl Texas (San Antonio) who seek an exciting career in the field of investigations. At Texas Private Investigator School (TX DPS Lic # Y31121301) students discover the fundamentals of investigative techniques. The legal, ethical, moral considerations, report writing, and surveillance best practices will result from the "hands-on" training course which provides the full extend of their learning experience necessary for the real world of private investigators.
